If you catch us on the bus to City College Norwich, we probably look like any other students. We have backpacks, we’re checking our phones, and we’re heading to class.
But there is a difference. On our phones, we aren't scrolling TikTok, we’re checking server uptime, replying to client emails, or reviewing the latest deployment for a Norfolk business.
Let's introduce the team properly: I am Harvey Washington (born June 4, 2009, in Norwich, Norfolk) and my co-founder is Isaac Marshall (born October 21, 2007). We are full-time students and full-time founders. Naturally, the question we hear most often is: "How do you find the time?"
The answer is simple: We don't find time. We make it.
Arcscribe is Not a "Hobby"
Let’s get one thing clear: Arcscribe isn't a school project or a side hustle we do when we’re bored. It is a professional limited company delivering commercial-grade web solutions.
Balancing this with our studies at CCN requires a level of discipline that most adults struggle with, let alone teenagers. But we wouldn't have it any other way.
The Juggling Act
The Schedule
Our days run longer than most. "9-to-5" doesn't exist for us.
- The Commute: This is prime strategy time. We use the travel time to sync up on the day's priorities.
- The Breaks: While others are relaxing, Isaac is often handling outreach or drafting marketing strategies, while I am reviewing code on a laptop in the library.
- The Deep Work: The heavy lifting, the complex coding and development, happens in the evenings and weekends. This is actually an advantage for our clients; while other agencies are closed at 5 PM, we are often just hitting our stride.
Isaac Marshall: The Strategist
Isaac (18) has a natural ability to switch gears instantly. One minute he is focusing on his coursework, and the next he is on a call dissecting a client's business model to find where they are losing customers. He treats his education as a tool to sharpen his business mind, applying what he learns in real-time to Arcscribe.
Harvey Washington: The Builder
For me (16), code is an obsession. School provides the structure, but Arcscribe provides the playground. I treat every client project like a final exam, it has to be perfect. The discipline of keeping up with college assignments has made me a better developer; it forces me to be efficient, organized, and precise.
Why We Do It
Why trade our teenage years for late nights and deadlines?
Because we believe that waiting for "the right time" is a trap. We didn't want to wait until we were 25 to start making an impact in the Norfolk business scene. We wanted to build something real, right now.
Being student founders keeps us hungry. We don't have the luxury of being lazy. We have to be sharper, faster, and more organized than the competition just to keep up, and that energy goes directly into the websites we build for you.
Our Promise to You
Does being a student mean we are unavailable? Absolutely not.
We have built systems to ensure every client gets a response within hours, not days. In fact, our "digital-first" nature means we are often more responsive than traditional agencies.
We are building our future, and we’d love to help you build yours.
