1. Program Overview

The East Anglia Digital Growth Initiative 2026 ("EADGI26" or "the Program") is a business support program operated by Arcscribe ("we," "us," or "our") designed to provide free website design, hosting, and support services to eligible startups and small businesses in the East Anglia region.

2. Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the EADGI26 program, applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria:

2.1 Geographic Requirements

• Your business must be based and actively operating in one of the following counties: Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Bedfordshire, or Hertfordshire
• You must be able to provide proof of business operation in the eligible region

2.2 Business Size and Status

• Your business must have fewer than 10 employees (including the owner)
• Annual turnover must be less than £85,000 per year (or projected turnover for new businesses)
• You must be either actively trading or ready to launch within 3 months of application

2.3 Digital Presence Requirements

• You must currently have no website, OR
• Your existing website is severely outdated and not serving your business needs
• You must not have received similar free website services from other programs within the past 2 years

2.4 Excluded Activities

The following types of businesses are NOT eligible:

• Businesses involved in gambling or betting activities
• Businesses producing or distributing adult content
• Multi-level marketing (MLM) or pyramid scheme businesses
• Businesses engaged in illegal activities
• Businesses that promote harm, discrimination, or hate speech

3. Application Process

3.1 Application Period

Applications for EADGI26 are accepted from November 21, 2025 through January 31, 2026. Applications submitted outside this period will not be considered.

3.2 Application Submission

• Each business may submit only ONE application
• All information provided must be accurate, truthful, and complete
• Providing false or misleading information will result in immediate disqualification
• We reserve the right to verify all information provided

3.3 Selection Process

• Applications will be reviewed by the Arcscribe team
• Selection is based on eligibility criteria, business need, and program capacity
• Meeting all eligibility requirements does not guarantee selection
• We reserve the right to select applications at our sole discretion
• Applicants will be notified of our decision within 5-7 business days of submission

4. What's Included

Selected businesses will receive the following at no cost:

4.1 Website Design and Development

• Professional 5-page website designed and built by Arcscribe
• Mobile-responsive design optimized for all devices
• Professional SEO setup including on-page optimization
• Contact form integration
• Basic content management training

4.2 Hosting and Domain

• Premium UK-based hosting for 1 year from launch date
• Free domain name registration (.co.uk or .com) for 1 year
• SSL certificate included

4.3 Support Services

• 6 months of ongoing technical support from the date of website launch
• Content updates and minor modifications (within reasonable limits)
• Email and phone support during business hours

5. Recipient Obligations

If your application is approved, you agree to:

5.1 Active Participation

• Actively participate in the website creation process
• Provide all necessary content, images, and information in a timely manner
• Respond to communications from Arcscribe within 3 business days
• Attend scheduled consultation calls or meetings

5.2 Timeline Compliance

• Complete the website development process within 90 days of approval
• Failure to provide required materials or respond to communications may result in withdrawal from the program

5.3 Attribution and Marketing

• Allow Arcscribe to include a small "Website by Arcscribe" credit in the website footer
• Permit Arcscribe to use your business as a case study or testimonial (with prior approval of specific content)
• Participate in program evaluation surveys or feedback requests

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Website Ownership

• Upon completion and payment of any renewal fees, you will own the website content you provide
• Arcscribe retains ownership of the website design framework and code
• You receive a license to use the website for your business purposes

6.2 Your Content

• You retain all rights to content (text, images, logos) you provide
• You warrant that you have the right to use all content provided to us
• You indemnify Arcscribe against any claims related to your content

7. Post-Program Responsibilities

7.1 After First Year

• After the initial 1-year free period, standard hosting and domain renewal fees will apply
• Current hosting rates are £10-15/month and domain renewal is approximately £10-15/year
• You will be notified 30 days before renewal is due
• Failure to renew will result in website suspension and eventual deletion

7.2 After Support Period

• After the 6-month support period, ongoing support and updates are available at standard rates
• Emergency support and critical security updates remain available

8. Limitations and Disclaimers

8.1 Service Limitations

• The program covers a standard 5-page website; additional pages or features may incur charges
• We do not guarantee specific search engine rankings or website traffic
• We are not responsible for business results or outcomes from the website

8.2 Technical Limitations

• Website uptime is subject to hosting provider guarantees (typically 99.9%)
• We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or technical issues beyond our control
• Regular backups are performed, but you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical content

9. Termination and Withdrawal

9.1 Our Right to Terminate

We reserve the right to withdraw a business from the program if:

• Eligibility criteria are not met or were misrepresented
• The business fails to participate actively in the process
• The business engages in activities that violate these terms
• The business conducts itself unprofessionally or abusively toward our team

9.2 Your Right to Withdraw

• You may withdraw from the program at any time before website launch
• After launch, standard service agreements apply

10. Privacy and Data Protection

• We collect and process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
• Application information is used solely for program administration and evaluation
• We will not share your data with third parties without consent, except as required by law

11. Liability and Indemnification

11.1 Limitation of Liability

• Arcscribe's total liability under this program is limited to the value of services provided (approximately £600)
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages
• This does not affect your statutory rights

11.2 Your Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Arcscribe from any claims arising from:

• Your use of the website
• Content you provide
• Your breach of these terms
• Your violation of any laws or third-party rights

12. Changes to Terms

• We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time
• Material changes will be communicated to applicants and participants
• Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms

13. General Provisions

13.1 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13.2 Entire Agreement

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Arcscribe regarding the EADGI26 program.

13.3 Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

13.4 No Assignment

You may not transfer or assign your rights or obligations under this agreement without our prior written consent.
